Screening Management
Task Preferences for child age and screening results
Users have the ability to create automatic task preferences based on the child’s age and screening results. Non-screening tasks and custom tasks are available for selecting in task preferences. The Program Administrator can click on Program and then Task Preferences to create the automatic non-screening tasks for the program.
Send automatic reminders with Screening Preferences and Alerts
Screening Preferences are a great way to stay on top of upcoming screens that are due without having to set a task for each child. In ASQ Online you can set program-wide screening preferences that will automatically generate tasks letting users know it is time to screen a child based on the following factors:
- A child’s date of entry into the program
- A child’s age
- The recommended screening interval for your program
- A child’s previous screening scores
These preferences are simple to set by a Program Administrator and will automatically generate screening Tasks each time the specific criteria are met.
To set a program-wide Screening Preference, select the Program page from the top navigation bar and then selecting Screening Preferences from the Quick Links on the left side of the page. From here you will be able to select the preferences you would like to put into effect. You can set an unlimited amount of Screening Preferences so that you can accommodate all of the needs of your program.
Screening Alerts
Once a Screening Preference is set and screening tasks have been generated, providers can also set a personal Screening Alert that will notify them via email or text when an upcoming screen is due. This gives the flexibility to only log into ASQ Online when it’s time to prepare for a screening.
To set a Screening Alert go to the My Profile page and select My Alerts from the list of Quick Links. Then in the Task Reminders section select Text, Email or Text and Email from the dropdown list depending on how you’d like to receive your alert. Select the date you’d like to receive the alert and Screening from the list of tasks. Once your settings are set, click Add to turn on the alerts.
Example:
ABC Childcare screens new children regularly with the 2, 4, 8, and 12- month intervals. To help the staff of this program stay on top of upcoming screenings that are due, the Program Administrator has set Screening Preferences for the intervals mentioned above. With Screening Preferences created for this program, when a child ages into one of these intervals, a screening task will be automatically created for that child. The screening task will appear within the Child Profile and within Screening Management to remind the provider in the program that it is time to print out the screening materials to prepare for the screening. Any Provider assigned to a child can routinely check the child’s profile or the Screening Management section within ASQ Online to see what screening tasks are coming due, or they can simply set screening alerts so they are notified via email and/or text when screenings tasks are due. Users can set these alerts from the My Profile section in ASQ Online.
Spanish Questionnaire can be viewed in English
Now your web view of your Spanish Questionnaire and Spanish Information Summary Sheet is available in English with just the click of a button. If you have ASQ -3 Spanish and/or ASQ:SE-2 Spanish questionnaires in your ASQ Online program, you will be able to switch the questionnaire from Spanish to English to help you enter in your screening data. You can also view the Information Summary Sheet for finalized screenings in the English version. To view in English, while on the questionnaire page or on the Information Summary Sheet, click on the Language dropdown menu at the top right of the page and select English. You will also be able to click on the area tabs and view/answer the questions in English.
New Screening Notes field on Information Summary Sheet
Need to add identifying text/screening notes to an individual questionnaire? With this new feature, you are now able to do that. This new feature adds an editable 24-character maximum text box to the top of the Information Summary Sheet. This text box can be filled in on the “Add Screening” page by the provider, or can be filled in from the Information Summary Sheet by the Provider and/or Program Administrator. Any text entered in the text box will appear in screening reports under the column “Screening Notes”.
Additional dynamic fields
There are now three new fields available in the Dynamic Content section of the “Create Document” feature within ASQ Online. You can now include the Child ID, Alternate ID, and the Caregiver email address within any new document that you create within ASQ Online.
